For Hopewell residents only, ages 18+. Join us for a hands-on Rain Barrel Workshop in partnership with the City of Hopewell Stormwater Department and the James River Association! Learn how to conserve water, reduce stormwater runoff, and support the health of our local waterways — all while lowering your water bill and keeping your garden thriving. Participants will receive step-by-step instruction on how rain barrels work, the environmental benefits they provide, and best practices for installation and maintenance. Each participant receives a 55-gallon drum and DIY rain barrel installation kit. Hopewell residents only, one rain barrel per household. Thursday, May 14, 6-7 p.m. Hopewell Community Center. Free.
